Membership Information

You have selected the BITS Student Annual Member membership level.

Student memberships are available to any individual who is enrolled, either part time or full time, (but in no case less than nine credit hours), in a curriculum or program at an accredited university, college, or vocational school. BITS reserves the right to verify the status of any individual applying for this type of membership and may, at its discretion, request the name and proof of enrollment of the institution the student is attending.

The price for membership is $10.00.

Membership expires after 1 Year.

Communication Preferences

With BITS being a special interest affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, (ACB), your BITS membership includes membership in that organization. ACB produces The Braille Forum, a monthly publication, (or nearly so), which is available in the formats indicated, and occasionally sends out communications via postal mail.

Please list the email that was used to create your PayPal account if it is different than the oneyou are using for your BITS account.

Upon receipt of your dues payment, your email address will automatically be added to the members@bits.groups.io distribution list which is used for the dissemination of all notices and other communications required by the DC Nonprofit Corporations Act of 2010. Should you elect to unsubscribe from that list, such action constitutes your affirmative waiver of notice for all communications required by the above-mentioned statute.

 
 
 

Non-members of BITS, or those at the Friend level, can gain access to the Announce list where public events are posted. Paying members of BITS will be subscribed to the Events list.

 
 

Paying members of BITS may be added to the BITS general discussion list.
